There s about a 1 3 gap between the backside of the shingles and the foundation wall top.
Should wood siding necessarily have an air gap between it and the wall sheathing behind it in a cold climate.
Silicone or perhaps a plastic molding to fill the gap.
There is wood siding 4ft x 8ft sheets on the neighboring wall that ends about 1 5 inches above my roof.
