Your demo was so neat and tamed. And i don t care what any one says demo sucks. Tiles installed with thinset or another tile adhesive often require more work to remove them. You may need to pry it off in two or three places if firmly attached.

When you believe you have removed or cut away most of the grout stop and examine your work. Give it a try by inserting a chisel putty knife or other flat tool in between the tile and the wall almost parallel to the wall. A wide blade putty knife is helpful in prying the tiles loose.
